Our HIA Award-Winning Projects

Narangba House Extension

We won the 2025 HIA Brisbane Renovated Kitchen up to $50,000 for our Narangba house extension kitchen, in collaboration with Burgess Kitchens. This kitchen is designed to be open, functional, and beautifully connected to the living and dining areas. Anchored by a generous island bench and featuring sleek stainless steel appliances, brushed nickel fixtures, and a walk-in pantry with smart storage solutions, the space perfectly blends practicality with contemporary style.

Beyond the kitchen, the Narangba house extension reimagined the home to feel bright, cohesive, and effortlessly liveable. We reconfigured the floor plan to create open, flowing zones and added nearly 27m² of space, allowing for a luxurious ensuite and spacious walk-in robe. Matching tiles across key areas, new hybrid flooring, and Illume solar skylights bring consistency, warmth, and energy efficiency throughout. The result is a stylish, light-filled home that captures the essence of modern family living.

Greenslopes Queenslander Renovation

We’re proud to highlight that the kitchen in our Greenslopes Queenslander renovation, created in collaboration with Burgess Kitchens, was recognised at the 2020 HIA Awards, winning New Kitchen up to $30,000. While the award was presented to Burgess Kitchens, JM Homes played an integral role in delivering the overall renovation, ensuring the award-winning kitchen was seamlessly integrated into the home’s refreshed and functional design. The result is a kitchen that perfectly balances modern style with the warmth and character of a classic Queenslander, becoming a true centrepiece for family living and entertaining.

Beyond the kitchen, this remarkable Greenslopes renovation transformed the traditional home into a bright, open, and spacious haven ideal for modern family life. JM Homes reimagined the layout to enhance flow and connection between living areas, while retaining the home’s original charm. The finished result is a beautifully balanced blend of heritage elegance and contemporary comfort, a home that feels both timeless and effortlessly liveable.

Australia's Best House Feature: Kangaroo Point Home Renovation

It was a huge honour to be approached by Australia’s Best House and have our Kangaroo Point home renovation featured on Season 2. Whilst we may not have taken out the category ‘Big Changes’, we are incredibly proud of the JM Homes team and the work we produced, along with Josh who hosted his own segment to show the nation this incredible project.
