In this Narangba house extension, our clients were seeking a space that felt open, bright, and more functional for everyday living. They wanted a layout that encouraged connection, with flowing zones for cooking, dining, and relaxing, without compromising on style or comfort.
To achieve this, we reconfigured the floor plan, removing barriers between the kitchen, dining, and living areas to create a more cohesive and inviting space. The result is a light-filled, open-plan layout that feels effortless to live in and perfect for entertaining.
A key highlight is the stunning new kitchen. Anchored by a large island bench, it features sleek stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel plumbing fixtures for a modern, streamlined look. A new walk-in pantry adds practicality, combining open shelving with closed cabinetry to offer plenty of smart storage solutions.
We also added nearly 27m² of additional space. Most of this was used to create a generous walk-in robe and a beautifully finished ensuite. To tie the interiors together visually, we used the same tiles in the kitchen and ensuite, bringing consistency and a sense of calm to the overall design.
Throughout the home, fresh paint and new hybrid flooring gave the interiors a polished, contemporary finish. We also installed Illume solar skylights in key areas like the hallway, pantry, and walk-in robe to maximise natural light. These skylights brighten the interiors beautifully, making the home feel warm, airy, and more energy-efficient.
